स राजमार्गं वपुषा प्रकाशयन् सहस्ररश्मिर्धरणीमिवांशुभिः। जगाम तत्राञ्जलिमालया वृतः शतक्रतुर्गेहमिव स्वयंभुवः॥
sa rājamārgaṃ vapuṣā prakāśayan sahasraraśmirdharaṇīmivāṃśubhiḥ| jagāma tatrāñjalimālayā vṛtaḥ śatakraturgehamiva svayaṃbhuvaḥ||
English Meaning
Illuming the highway with the splendour of his person, like the thousand-rayed (Sun) discovering the earth with his rays, (Kumbhakarna) went on, engirt around by joined hands resembling wreaths, like Śatakratu* going to the abode of the Self-sprung. *Lit. him of an hundred sacrifices-an appellation of Indra.
