Hadith 3563

Virtues and Merits of the Prophet (pbuh) and his Companions

حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ مَا عَابَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم طَعَامًا قَطُّ، إِنِ اشْتَهَاهُ أَكَلَهُ، وَإِلاَّ تَرَكَهُ‏.‏

Translation

Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet (ﷺ) never criticized any food (presented to him), but he would eat it if he liked it; otherwise, he would leave it (without expressing his dislike)
