एष योऽभिमुखो लङ्कां नदस्तिष्ठति वानरः॥ यूथपानां सहस्रेण शतेन परिवारितः। यस्य घोषेण महता सप्राकारा सतोरणा ॥ लङ्का प्रतिहता सर्वा सशैलवनकानना। सर्वशाखामृगेन्द्रस्य सुग्रीवस्य महात्मनः॥ बलाने तिष्ठते वीरो नीलो नामैष यूथपः।
eṣa yo'bhimukho laṅkāṃ nadastiṣṭhati vānaraḥ|| yūthapānāṃ sahasreṇa śatena parivāritaḥ| yasya ghoṣeṇa mahatā saprākārā satoraṇā || laṅkā pratihatā sarvā saśailavanakānanā| sarvaśākhāmṛgendrasya sugrīvasya mahātmanaḥ|| balāne tiṣṭhate vīro nīlo nāmaiṣa yūthapaḥ|
English Meaning
This monkey, that, setting up roars, stay in front of Lankā, surrounded by hundreds and thousands of monkey-leaders, by whose tremendous shouts Laúkā tremble with her wall, gateways, hills, woods and forests, and who is posted in front of the forces of the high-souled Sugriva, master of all the monkeys-is the heroic leader of monkey-bands named Nila.
