लक्ष्मणस्य परित्यागं प्रतिज्ञां राघवस्य च। पुत्रयोरभिषेकं च पौरानुगमनं तथा।। कुशस्य नगरी रम्या विन्ध्यपर्वतरोधसि। कुशावतीति नाम्ना सा कृता रामेण धीमता॥
lakṣmaṇasya parityāgaṃ pratijñāṃ rāghavasya ca| putrayorabhiṣekaṃ ca paurānugamanaṃ tathā|| kuśasya nagarī ramyā vindhyaparvatarodhasi| kuśāvatīti nāmnā sā kṛtā rāmeṇa dhīmatā||
English Meaning
Having informed him of the renouncing of Lakşmaņa, Rāma's promise and the following of the citizens they said:-The intelligent Rāma has reared for Kuśī the spacious city of Kuśavati at the foot of the Vindhya range.
