नदन् नादेन महता मेघस्वनमहास्वनः। प्रवराराक्षसान् हत्वा नाम विश्राव्य चात्मनः॥ आकुलां नगरी कृत्वा व्यथयित्वा च रावणम्। अर्दयित्वा महावीरान् वैदेहीमभिवाद्य च॥ आजगाम महातेजाः पुनर्मध्येन सागरम्।
nadan nādena mahatā meghasvanamahāsvanaḥ| pravarārākṣasān hatvā nāma viśrāvya cātmanaḥ|| ākulāṃ nagarī kṛtvā vyathayitvā ca rāvaṇam| ardayitvā mahāvīrān vaidehīmabhivādya ca|| ājagāma mahātejāḥ punarmadhyena sāgaram|
English Meaning
And sending up mighty sounds, that exceedingly energetic one gifted with a powerful voice like that of the clouds, having slain the foremost Rākşasas and rendered his name famous, having filled the city with lamentations and afflicted Rāvana, having distressed the mighty heroes and paid obeisance to Vaidehī, again held his course along the mid-ocean.
