प्रसीद लङ्केश्वर राक्षसेन्द्र धर्मार्थतत्त्वं वचनं शृणुप्व। दूता न वध्याः समयेषु राजन् सर्वेषु सर्वत्र वदन्ति सन्तः॥
prasīda laṅkeśvara rākṣasendra dharmārthatattvaṃ vacanaṃ śṛṇupva| dūtā na vadhyāḥ samayeṣu rājan sarveṣu sarvatra vadanti santaḥ||
English Meaning
O lord of Lankā, be propitious. O Sovereign of Rākṣasas, listen to speech containing the significance of virtue and profit. O king, an envoy is not to be put to death on the occasion of his discharging his proper functions. This righteous people say everywhere to all.
