सर्ववानरमुख्येषु बुद्धिमान् बलवानपि। ते सृष्टा बहुसाहस्रा दशग्रीववधोद्यताः॥ अप्रमेयबला वीरा विक्रान्ताः कामरूपिणः। ते गजाचलसंकाशा वपुष्मन्तो महाबलाः॥ ऋक्षवानरगोपुच्छाः क्षिप्रमेवाभिजज्ञिरे।
sarvavānaramukhyeṣu buddhimān balavānapi| te sṛṣṭā bahusāhasrā daśagrīvavadhodyatāḥ|| aprameyabalā vīrā vikrāntāḥ kāmarūpiṇaḥ| te gajācalasaṃkāśā vapuṣmanto mahābalāḥ|| ṛkṣavānaragopucchāḥ kṣipramevābhijajñire|
English Meaning
And the most intelligent as well as the most powerful amongst all the principal monkeys. Thus produced, there suddenly came into being by thousands, mighty bears, and monkeys, and Gopucchas, (Cow-tailed monkeys.) and of immeasurable strength, and heroic, and powerful, assuming shapes at will, endowed with bodies resembling elephants or hills, even those who would engage in compassing the destruction of the Ten-headed Rāvana.
