तस्य धर्मार्थविदुषो भावमाज्ञाय सर्वशः। ब्राह्मणा बलमुख्याश्च पौरजानपदैः सह ॥ समेत्य ते मन्त्रयितुं समतागतबुद्धयः। ऊचुश्च मनसा ज्ञात्वा वृद्धं दशरथं नृपम्॥
tasya dharmārthaviduṣo bhāvamājñāya sarvaśaḥ| brāhmaṇā balamukhyāśca paurajānapadaiḥ saha || sametya te mantrayituṃ samatāgatabuddhayaḥ| ūcuśca manasā jñātvā vṛddhaṃ daśarathaṃ nṛpam||
English Meaning
Then being in complete possession of the views of that one (the king) versed in morality and interest, the Brāhmaṇas and the principal personages of the army, in company with the citizens and the inhabitants of the provinces, took counsel together, and became unanimous, and, having again revolved the mater individually in their mind, spoke to the aged king Dasaratha, saying.
