ततः प्रव्यथिताः सर्वे देवाः साग्निपुरोगमाः। अब्रटन् वचनं सर्वे परस्परसमागताः॥ अस्माकं कस्यचित् स्थानमेष प्रार्थयते मुनिः। इति संविग्नमनसः सर्वे तत्र दिवौकसः॥
tataḥ pravyathitāḥ sarve devāḥ sāgnipurogamāḥ| abraṭan vacanaṃ sarve parasparasamāgatāḥ|| asmākaṃ kasyacit sthānameṣa prārthayate muniḥ| iti saṃvignamanasaḥ sarve tatra divaukasaḥ||
English Meaning
Thereat, exceedingly agitated, all the deities with Agni at their head assembled together, said, This ascetic wishes to have the position of one of us.' Thus all the deities present there were filled with anxiety.
