इति: ब्रुवाणां काकुत्स्थं ब्रह्मा ब्रह्मविदां वरः। अब्रवीच्छृणु मे वाक्यं सत्यं सत्यपराक्रम॥ भवान्नारायणो देवः श्रीमांश्चक्रायुधः प्रभुः। एकशृङ्गो वराहस्त्वं भूतभव्यसपत्नजित्॥ अक्षरं ब्रह्म सत्यं च मध्ये चान्ते च राघव। लोकानां त्वं परो धर्मो विष्वक्सेनश्चतुर्भुजः॥ शार्ङ्गधन्वा हृषीकेशः पुरुषः पुरुषोत्तमः। अजितः खङ्गधृग्विष्णुः कृष्णश्चैव बृहद्बलः॥ सेनानीामणीः सर्वं त्वं बुद्धिस्त्वं क्षमा दमः। प्रभवश्चाप्ययश्च त्वमुपेन्द्रो मधुसूदनः॥ इन्द्रकर्मा महेन्द्रस्त्वं पद्मनाभो रणान्तकृत्। शरण्यं शरणं च त्वामाहुर्दिव्या महर्षयः॥
iti: bruvāṇāṃ kākutsthaṃ brahmā brahmavidāṃ varaḥ| abravīcchṛṇu me vākyaṃ satyaṃ satyaparākrama|| bhavānnārāyaṇo devaḥ śrīmāṃścakrāyudhaḥ prabhuḥ| ekaśṛṅgo varāhastvaṃ bhūtabhavyasapatnajit|| akṣaraṃ brahma satyaṃ ca madhye cānte ca rāghava| lokānāṃ tvaṃ paro dharmo viṣvaksenaścaturbhujaḥ|| śārṅgadhanvā hṛṣīkeśaḥ puruṣaḥ puruṣottamaḥ| ajitaḥ khaṅgadhṛgviṣṇuḥ kṛṣṇaścaiva bṛhadbalaḥ|| senānīāmaṇīḥ sarvaṃ tvaṃ buddhistvaṃ kṣamā damaḥ| prabhavaścāpyayaśca tvamupendro madhusūdanaḥ|| indrakarmā mahendrastvaṃ padmanābho raṇāntakṛt| śaraṇyaṃ śaraṇaṃ ca tvāmāhurdivyā maharṣayaḥ||
English Meaning
Thereupon Brahmā, the foremost of those conversant with the knowledge of Brahmā, spoke to Kākutstha, who had spoken thus, saying, "Do you hear my true words, O you having truth for your prowess. O lord, you are the great and effulgent, Nārāyaṇa holding discus and mace; you are the boar having one tusk; you have conquered the past, present and future; you are undecaying and without end, O Rāghava; you are the great virtue of the pious-you are the propounder of all laws and are four-armed; you are the holder of bow of time-the subduer of senses-the excellent Puruşa (person), unconquerable by sins; you are Vişņu holding dagger, Krşna and of incomparable strength; you are the army, the minister-the universe-the understanding, forgiveness and control of passions; you are the creation and destruction; Upendra and the slayer of (demon) Madhu; you are the creator of Indra; you are Mahendra; you have a lotus-like navel and you are the slayer of enemies. The celestials and the great saints style you as the refuge of those who seek for shelter.
