प्रणुन्नं सर्वतो दिग्भ्यः सिंहनुन्ना मृगा इव। एतस्मिन्नन्तरे शूरो वसूनामष्टमो वसुः। सावित्र इति विख्यातः प्रविवेश रणाजिरम्॥ सैन्यैः परिवृतो हृष्टै नाप्रहरणोद्यतैः। त्रासयशत्रुसैन्यानि प्रविवेश रणाजिरम्॥

praṇunnaṃ sarvato digbhyaḥ siṃhanunnā mṛgā iva| etasminnantare śūro vasūnāmaṣṭamo vasuḥ| sāvitra iti vikhyātaḥ praviveśa raṇājiram|| sainyaiḥ parivṛto hṛṣṭai nāpraharaṇodyataiḥ| trāsayaśatrusainyāni praviveśa raṇājiram||

English Meaning

Being thus distressed by the night-rangers the hoist of the gods fled away into diverse directions like a herd of deer attacked by a lion. In the meantime, entered the battle-field, the heroic and brave Såvitra, the eight Vasu, encircled by soldiers and striking terror into the hearts of the enemies.
