idamākhyānamāyuṣyaṃ saubhāgyaṃ pāpanāśanam| rāmāyaṇaṃ vedasamaṃ śrāddheṣu śrāvayedudhaḥ||
English Meaning
At the Śrāddha cereinony the wise should chant this Rāmāyaṇa sacred like the Vedas, removing sins and increasing life and prosperity.
