जितकाशी जयश्लाघी त्वया चाधर्षितः पुरात्॥ निष्पतिष्यत्यसङ्गेन वाली स प्रियसंयुगः। रिपूणां धर्षितं श्रुत्वा मर्षयन्ति न संयुगे॥ जानन्तस्तु स्वकं वीर्यं स्त्रीसमक्षं विशेषतः।
jitakāśī jayaślāghī tvayā cādharṣitaḥ purāt|| niṣpatiṣyatyasaṅgena vālī sa priyasaṃyugaḥ| ripūṇāṃ dharṣitaṃ śrutvā marṣayanti na saṃyuge|| jānantastu svakaṃ vīryaṃ strīsamakṣaṃ viśeṣataḥ|
English Meaning
He has subdued his breath, is proud of victory and fond of warfare; you could not repress him before. Forsooth that Vāli shall come out, leaving the company (of his wives). Hearing the war cry of his enemy, he shall never put up with it, specially, as he boasteth of his prowess before his wives.
